Many business owners consider themselves a bricks-and-mortar or offline business and today and in the future there will always be a need for offline business. Many products and services will always be provided face to face. A builder will never be able to build you an extension via the internet, a cafe will never be able to serve you a coffee via the internet ….. well not that we can envisage today anyway.
Does that mean they are an offline business?
Not any more. Moving forward every business must recognise the need to be an online business and it is necessary to find a way to make your offline business visible online. Whether your business provides an online or face-to-face service, the truth is noone knows you’re there unless you are online.
Online is where your business will be found.
Without an online presence and a variety of channels to let people know what you do, who is in your business, and how you may be able to help them you are most certainly going to miss out on sales.
www.digitalbusiness.gov.au posted a great case study of a Sydney based business called “Brainmates” and how they use the internet to let people know what their business is about.
Do you think you can get your business to the same level of activity as Brainmates?
Would you like support, training and accountability to make it happen?
Businesses who come on the Stand Out DIY Online Accelerator journey with me, commencing in September 2013 in Wollongong will have all of these pieces of the puzzle in place by completion of the program. There is no hiding from the need to be online. It is only a matter of time before you have to tackle this. If you’re ready, learn more about the program here and review the common questions we’re asked about the program, including the dates here. We would love to have you on the program and share your journey into the online world.
